Vogue Workshop this Friday at Columbia College

As part of the Little Big Foot free dance workshop series, the House of Ninja Chicago Chapter, along with members of the Passisas Samba Group, will both be presenting at a Dance Workshop this coming Friday the 12th of October from 4pm to 7pm. The voguing portion of the workshop will focus on learning the basic foundations of New Way style voguing, as well as examining the history around the art form and the communities which have shaped it. We will be paying special attention to how the struggles of the ballroom community at its inception continue to be reflected in poor and Brown queer communities around the world, particularly here in the Chicago neighborhood of Boystown. The workshop will culminate in an open dance session for all participants of both workshops. This event is free and open for the public to attend.
